Its location allows you to enjoy all that Brisbane’s South Bank has to offer, including; the Queensland Museum, GOMA, QPAC, and the Lyric Theatre, along with kilometres of accessible riverside parkland, restaurants and, of course, Streets Beach.
The hotel itself is a chic, modern design, with 11 designated accessible rooms. The accessible rooms feature wide entry and bathroom doors, a fully-appointed accessible bathroom built to Australian Standard 1428.1 (2009) and even feature automated curtains, which can be operated by switches located adjacent to the king-sized bed.
The bed itself has limited space for operating a hoist however, Hotel Management are happy to accommodate any requests to raise the bedframe onto bed raisers/chocks. The room has ample circulation space however it would be a tight fit to get a wheelchair to the window-side of the bed.
Each of the accessible rooms back onto an adjoining King Room, for those travelling as a family or with a Personal Support Worker. A rollaway bed can also be supplied however would limit the circulation space within the room when folded out.
Beyond the accessible room, the hotel’s pool and gym can be accessed via a clear accessible path of travel and the pool features a pool lift to enable people with mobility issues to access the water. The on-site restaurant and bar, Spice Central Kitchen and Bar, serves a unique menu of simple and authentic cuisine, meaning those less adventurous don’t have to leave the hotel at all!
