Located adjacent to Brisbane’s famous Myer Centre, the Ibis Styles Brisbane is right at the centre of the action, with Brisbane’s best shopping, restaurants at sightseeing at your doorstep.
The Ibis Styles Brisbane is part of the AccorHotel’s network and features 15 accessible rooms and/or Family Suites from Level 11 and above. As newly-renovated hotel, ibis Styles Brisbane has worked with pre-2011 design to create a series of accessible rooms to suit most travellers with disability.
The hotel’s accessible rooms come as a City View Corner Deluxe Room configuration, with king bed and accessible bathroom. For travellers with disability travelling with family or carer(s), the accessible rooms are also available as a Family Suite configuration. This is achieved by opening the door to the adjacent Superior Queen City View Room, which are adjoining to each of the accessible rooms. The king bed in the accessible room can also be transformed into 2 king singles, for those seeking a separate bedding configuration.
Within the accessible room, bedside circulation space is slightly obstructed when the bed is in its regular position. However, with the bed on casters, additional space can easily be created by simply rolling the bed across the room. Under bed clearance is measured at 12cm, giving room for most hoists to roll in underneath. If required, Hotel Management are willing to raise the bed frame onto chocks/bed raisers for additional clearance. Doorway clearances are at approximately 85cm at the entry and bathroom doors.
One of the best features of the rooms of the Ibis Styles Brisbane is the floor to ceiling glass windows, including in the bathroom. Mirrored glazing gives you endless views of the city from your bed, shower and/or toilet, without being seen from the outside in. It takes the saying “loo with a view” to the next level! Modern, accessible fixtures in the bathroom with ample circulation space makes the Ibis Styles Brisbane a very accessible accommodation option in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD.
Throughout the rest of the hotel, you’ll find a gym with adjacent accessible bathrooms and an on-site restaurant/bar with a ‘grab-and-go’ (take-away option). If you ask nicely, they may even deliver to your room (for guests with disability). There is also a complimentary guest laundry (BYO laundry powder) for those needing to do a spot of washing.
